Tips when Moving

Many folks have never moved their entire life and don’t know what it’s like to move from one house to another especially with a large family. I have had this experience more than once or twice and I can tell you it’s no walk in the park. Anyone who is decides to move should know what to expect and should know what to do to make things run smoothly.

I can not emphasize enough about how important it is to have things in order. Have everything packed in storage boxes and make sure you don’t forget to label the contents of the box. It’s is impossible for you to keep track of where you put what if you don’t use the labels.

When you have a big family and children it can be hard sometimes to take care of all your important documents, like birth certificates, receipts , passports once they have been used for any reason. You might place it somewhere thinking you will put it away later. It can easily get forgotten and lost. You need to always keep these things in only one place, especially if you know you are about to move. It would be a good Idea to keep every single important document in a small suitcase in your room that way nothing else matters.

If you have the important things put away the next thing you have to do is take care of the furniture you are taking with you. Cover them up with moving blankets and let the more durable things get onto the truck first. If you have delicate things you should save them for last so that they can be treated with special care.
